Home Gurr'own is a family run smallholding producing fine local produce and food. It was set up by Nicci and Julian Gurr and is located in Cranbrook, Kent, UK.
I (Nicci) have been a chef for over 20 years and was originally trained by Albert Roux of Roux fine dining in London. I continued my career onboard private yachts around the world. I came to Cranbrook to set up our smallholding with my Husband Julian in 2007. Our basic concept is that "he grows it and I cook it".

We always start with the basics and this means finding the finest freshest ingredients. Whenever possible these will be grown or hand reared on our smallholding and our recipes will be seasoned with our own chilli plants, edible flowers, herbs and spices. We are passionate about sourcing further ingredients locally, for example, Hastings fresh fish and Cranbrook Windmill Flour.
